About Kate

Kate Vidimos is a writer, illustrator, artist, and journalist based in Texas. She received both her B.A. and M.E. in English from the University of Dallas, with her main focuses and interests being William Shakespeare and Jane Austen. As a journalist, she specializes in writing about short stories and fairy tales and, as an illustrator, she specializes in illustrating and drawing animals, nature, architecture, and landscapes.

  Kate discovered her love for stories and storytelling as a young child, but her journey as a writer really took flight in college, where she studied literature and storytelling more in-depth. There she learned that stories foster conversation and community throughout different times and with different people, bridging gaps and spreading joy. She appreciates that storytelling enables her to share her take on life and all its adventures, especially with people she has never met.
